How to Create and Customize Affiliate Links to Maximize Engagement
Take your affiliate program to the next level with Oshi Loyalty's Bitcoin-based affiliate program.

As a business owner, you want your affiliates to succeed in promoting your brand. With Oshi’s affiliate program, you can create customized links that allow your affiliates to target different types of audiences—whether they’re looking for discounts or interested in earning Bitcoin rewards.

Here’s how you can set this up and customize the experience for both affiliates and customers.

Step 1: Share Your Affiliate Sign Up Page

You can find your Branded Affiliate Sign Up Link in the Referrals tab of your Oshi dashboard. Scroll down to the Branded Affiliate Link section to preview and copy your custom link.

When an affiliate enters their email they'll receive a unique affiliate link that they can share with friends, family, or their monetizable network.

Step 2: Customize the Affiliate’s Settings

Now that affiliates have signed up through your dedicated sign-up page, you can manage their settings under the Referrals tab in the Business Affiliates section.

Customization Options

Adjust Affiliate Commission

• Set a percentage of sales that the affiliate will earn as Bitcoin commission.
• This is customizable per affiliate, allowing you to reward top performers or offer higher incentives to specific affiliates.

Set the Customer Reward Bonus

• Define the Bitcoin reward percentage customers will receive when referred by this affiliate’s link.
• Adjusting this can further entice the affiliate’s network to make purchases.

Step 3: Leverage Shopify Discount Codes

Not every customer referred by your affiliate will be ready to embrace Bitcoin rewards (their loss, of course). For these cases, you have the option to enable Shopify discount codes. This gives your customers the flexibility to receive a standard discount instead of Bitcoin rewards—if they prefer.

Additionally, this flow is familiar and easier for your affiliates to promote. Instead of explaining Bitcoin rewards, they can simply share an affiliate code as they usually do.

Creating Codes

• In your Shopify dashboard, generate a discount code for your store.

Add the Code to Oshi

• Click the affiliate's edit ✏️ icon in the Business Affiliates section.
• Enter the discount code in the "Shopify Discount Code” field.

One of the strengths of this program is the optionality it provides for customers, allowing you and your affiliates to leverage Bitcoin rewards in some cases and traditional discounts in others. This flexibility empowers both the affiliate and the customer, ensuring everyone gets value in the way they prefer.

It’s important to note that the affiliate always gets paid in Bitcoin, regardless of whether the customer chooses a discount or Bitcoin rewards. This ensures affiliates are consistently rewarded for driving sales while offering customers the flexibility to choose their preferred incentive.

How it works

When the customer clicks the affiliate link, they are directed to a branded landing page.

The landing page clearly explains their options:

Keep the discount code: The customer receives an immediate discount (e.g., 10% off).
Remove the discount code: The customer earns Bitcoin rewards instead (e.g., 10% back in Bitcoin).

Examples

Use Case #1: Catering to customers who prefer discounts

For customers unfamiliar with Bitcoin or those who prefer a traditional discount, this is straightforward and familiar.

Use Case #2: Captivating customers with Bitcoin rewards

This appeals to Bitcoin enthusiasts or those curious about trying Bitcoin rewards instead of your standard discount.

Use Case #3: Promoting the optionality of rewards or discount

Two birds, one stone. Opt to cater to both crowds in a straightforward way.

The Bottom Line

No matter which option the customer chooses, the affiliate earns Bitcoin commissions for the referral. This ensures affiliates benefit from every sale, regardless of whether the customer opts for a discount or Bitcoin rewards.

By offering a dual-incentive system:

Customers have options: They choose what works best for them.
Affiliates benefit either way: Bitcoin commissions are earned regardless of the customer’s choice.
Businesses drive conversions: Cater to both traditional shoppers and Bitcoin enthusiasts with a single seamless flow.

This ensures everyone—affiliates, customers, and businesses—wins.
